Product Description: ARKOÇ ARK 973 Series pressure reducing control valves are hydraulic control valves that reduce the high input pressure value to a desired lower pressure value thanks to the pressure reducing pilot mechanisms mounted on it, and close themselves hermetically when the desired outlet pressure value is reached.
Pressure reducing control valves keep the set outlet pressure value constant without being affected by the flow rate and inlet pressure value by constantly controlling it. In cases where there is no flow in the system, the valve automatically closes itself completely and without leakage. If there is no use in the pipe outlet line and the inlet pressure drops below the adjusted outlet pressure, the valve acts as an active check valve and closes itself tightly, preventing the passage of water.
After the pressure reducing valves are activated, the pipeline filling rate continues rapidly up to a certain pressure, but as it approaches the set outlet pressure value, the valve throttles itself and gradually fills the remaining pressure.
The valve automatically opens when there is a need for pressure and flow in the pipeline, and automatically closes when the need is over.
The pressure reducing valve and the pilot mechanism that controls it can provide a pressure drop of approximately 1/5 even under difficult conditions, but when the cavitation effects within the valve and pilot mechanism are ignored, the recommended pressure drop rate is 1/3. The main reason for this is that the valve is no longer adjustable when there is any blockage in the input signal line of the pilot mechanism connected to the hopper as a result of the disruption of maintenance that must be performed periodically after the initial adjustment is made,and it automatically fixes the output pressure setting to 1/3 by acting as a proportional pressure reducer.
