Product Description: ARKOC ARK 973 Series Quick Relief Valve is a safety control valve that automatically evacuates sudden positive changes in water pressure, which occurs as a result of the pumps being activated and deactivated in the system in the promotion lines of water networks, to the atmosphere.When the pressure in the pipeline exceeds the set point, the valve opens itself quickly and protects the system by evacuating the excess pressure. When the pressure value in the pipeline drops to normal level, the valve automatically closes itself slowly and tightly, without causing any impact.
During operation, the valve works through a pilot control mechanism that opens quickly to maintain constant line pressure and closes gradually to prevent fluctuations.
Depending on extreme stress resistance, this valve is used for pressure reduction, pressure sustaining, back pressure, or discharge functions in the bypass system.
Since these valves are generally attached to the pipeline as a "T" or at the end of the line, the diameter does not have to be chosen the same as the line diameter. Because it will discharge the amount exceeding the set pressure, it would be appropriate to choose a diameter that can discharge a sufficient flow rate. In this case, valve selection should be made by taking into account Kv tables .
Equation of Kv = (Q / ΔP)
S= specific gravity of the fluid (1 for water)
Q = flow rate (m3/h)
ΔP = Differential pressure (bar)
Kv = flow factor (found as m3/h based on the equation and the diameter is determined based on the table)
(1-bar differential pressure for liquid at 15°C)
